glock 43x issues

Glock 43x Issues - Glock introduced two exciting and well-designed pistols at the Shooting Hunting Outdoor Trade (SHOT) 2019. Glock, as much as any manufacturer, understands that there is a very important part of the concealed carry market.

History bears witness that Glock service pistols are known worldwide for their reliability and combat capability. The Glock 17, Glock 19 and other models are widely respected.

In concealed carry, the search was on for viable improvements to both the Glock 19 and Glock 43.

The Glock G43x Was Good Enough For A General

The Glock 19 is a great piece and one of the best balanced pistols in the world. The Glock 19, and its close variants, the Glock 19X and Glock 45, offer great reliability control and gun accuracy with a good supply of ammunition. The Glock 43 is a slim 9mm that offers true concealment with 9mm power, but with limited capacity.

Glock made the Glock 48 9mm. This is what we can call a long slide Glock 43, which has a longer grip than the G43, which has a 10 round magazine.

The Glock 48 is also thinner than the Glock 19. The Glock 43X is a standard Glock 43 slide, but has a longer grip that holds a 10-round magazine. Each has its own place.

The slide is not stainless steel. But a Silver NPVD coated product. Some like the look, some like an all black Glock. The Glock 43X features a forward cocking serration. I'm glad I waited until Glock 43X pistols with night sights became available, as my pistol has a nice set of self-illuminated iron sights with an orange front dot around the radioactive ampoule .

Glock 43x Review: Compact King?

The pistol fits the Glock 43 holster. The Glock 48 required manufacturers to work on a longer slide that is thinner than the Glock 19. The Glock 43X puts up some of the velocity in the larger Glock 48 and Glock 19 barrels, but then it's smaller and easier to conceal.

The Glock 43 fits in some pockets. The 43X is unlikely to fit in pockets other than large crew types. There are no grip inserts and no light rail. As a former police officer, I will say that the Glock 48 is a fine off-duty weapon. As logical choices, the Glock 43 is a good backup and the 43X is a gun for those who like the 43 but want to shoot it a little more accurately.

I took the Glock to the range with a good mix of ammo to test its reliability and practical shooting. I drew from a Tuck-It Complete Concealment Kydex inside the waistband holster. This company is one of the few to do work for the Glock 48. This holster accepts the smallest Glock 43X.

Glock 43x Issues

When running quick shows from concealed carry, the Glock 43X is fast, very fast, and clears the holster quickly. With the short frame Glock 43, it is more difficult to quickly confirm a good firing grip. The Glock 43X offers better grip. However, the shorter slide clears the holster just as quickly as the Glock 43.

Glock 43x Optimized: Customizing The G43x

I dried the pistol extensively before heading to the range, and also practiced draws. The result was good speed and a quick hit on target. I drew and fired man-sized targets at 5, 7 and 10 yards. The gun is quick on target and tracks well.

The greater grip on the Standard 43 is an advantage during shooting practice. No, it doesn't match the speed and control of the Glock 19, but it is a fine gun.

The primary loads used during early testing were Hornady 124-grain HAP practice bullets and handloads using WW 231 powder sufficient for 1,050 fps. I also ran a general-purpose handload using Hornady 124-grain XTP at 1,100 fps. Titgruppe powder provided the fuel for this charge. I used factory Hornady 115-grain Critical Defense, Hornady 124-grain XTP+P in the American Gunner series, and Hornady 147-grain XTP. This includes practice loads, light and heavy 9mm loads, and heavy loads.

The Glock 43X feeds, chambers, fires and fires every load without issue. When shooting at man-sized targets, the orange dot front sight was an aid for quick hits. In terms of sight adjustments, the pistol seemed dead on the money with the 115- to 124-grain loads, and the 147-grain loads were a bit overkill.

Gun Reviews By Women

For recoil, the Glock 43X is an enjoyable gun. The pistol is lighter and thinner than the Glock 19, so the recoil impulse is greater, but it is easier to shoot comfortably than the Glock 43. The 9mm just doesn't kick much, and the Glock 43X is a comfortable gun to shoot.

Combat accuracy is more practical, but absolute accuracy is always interesting. I shot the pistol from a standing barricade at 15 yards with the Hornady Critical Defense as well as Hornady 147-grain XTP—firing five rounds from each load. Both groups settled at just under two inches. The Glock 43X is accurate enough for any personal defense, reliable, lightweight, and a good choice for personal defense.

It was also adopted to honor the families of both the victims and the perpetrators. The pen is the same and the man remains a vocal advocate of using just enough guns for the job.

Glock 43x How Many Magazines - Built with simple shotgun reliability, the Glock 43X and Glock 48 offer shooters slim and effective concealed carry options in 9mm.

I have carried a concealed Glock 19 for about 18 years regularly. The first years I was still working. After that, we had the state version of the Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act, and I got a license to carry from the state - belt and suspension style.

Glock 43x How Many Magazines

Glock 43x How Many Magazines

I first started carrying concealed handguns in the 1970s - remember Jimmy Carter, double digit inflation and double digit unemployment? Yes, I started taking that long, and even before an actor was cast in the film.

Brand New: Glock 43x Mos And Glock 48 Mos

With that in mind, I was surprised to learn that the Glock 19, a service contract by design, is too much carry for many people. And, when I thought about it, it made sense. If you're in a classic unregulated environment - not with illegal behavior or even a job requirement you can't do it - but if you're working with people who have such an irrational fear of invalids, yes the very important "less" when it comes to hiding.

In racing smaller guns, people used flyweight calibers in very small guns and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, how well the guns were fired was lost. I have fired small .380 pistols, as well as some unpleasant small 9mm guns: The results were not great.

At the same time, various states were allowed to ban "box springs"—in other words, magazines that contained "many" bullets. A lethal weapon, the lack of reasoning, may be less lethal within these limits.

The Glock 19 magazine (left) compared to the new Slimline magazines. These are not backwards compatible with the legacy G43.

Glock 43x Tlr6 Shield Arms Magazines

At the end of the late Clinton Gun Ban in 1994, the entire country was bound by such a magazine ban. The industry has turned to service and service-sized double-stack handguns. The Glock 19 became one example of a gun that suddenly required an unenhanced Clinton magazine. Oh, what we would give for a ready supply of 10-shot concealed handguns. There are a few with less than 10 rounds, but almost no support equipment (extra magazines, holsters, magazine pouches).

Now, our wait is over, and it seems the time has come for us to introduce today's legislative buffoonery. Glock has released larger versions of their Slimline 9mm pistol. Their first attempt to be available in the United States was the Glock 43. As a six-shot 9mm, it was really sub-compact. With a short barrel/slide paired with a short frame, it can be slipped into a belly band under scrubs, worn around the ankle or tucked into a pocket bag.

However, it is difficult to hang on a Glock 43 when it is fired. It's not painful, but it's difficult trying to pass the Wizard Drill - a benchmark to see if you're proficient with the gun you're carrying, while you're carrying it. Some get there, but others don't.

Glock 43x How Many Magazines

Meanwhile, some people on the internet are saying that there hasn't been much change from the gun companies. Well, Glock only made the Glock 43 either; they had to make other changes to make everything work. As they did so, realizing that most of the concealment work was in the magazine/frame length and not the barrel/slide due to internal bearing, they launched two models for 2019.

Shield Arms S15 Mag Review 2022

The upgraded product is the Glock 43X. Basically a Glock 43 above in a taller frame, the magazine is different. With a capacity of 10 rounds of 9×19mm ammunition, it is only as long as a Glock 43 when loaded with a Vickers Tactical / Tango Down +2 magazine. To fit 10 rounds instead of eight, the new magazines are thicker and unfit.

The short barrel and slide come out of the holster quickly, but there is a frame that gives you, the user, more to hang on to.

Not content to make the Glock 43X a "magazine stopper," they used that Glock 43X frame and added a barrel/slide that mirrored the length of the G19 (albeit thinner). The result: the Glock 48. Also a 10-shot gun, the slightly longer barrel/slide gives you more of that sight radius.

For those with the appendage, the longer barrel/slide gives the body something to push against to push the rear of the gun back into the body. This really enhances the visibility.

Ets Glock 43

The Gen5 G19 is wider than the G48 (right). Note the opening in the Glock 48 forward slide of the dust cover; it is there to give access to the front sight retention hill.

The slide for the Glock 43X is the same subcompact length as the G43 at just over 6 inches (with a 3.41-inch barrel). The Glock 48 is called "compact", with a length of 6.85 inches (4.17-inch barrel), making it compliant with current Canadian violations.

What do guns have in common? Both ships with a pair of 10-shot magazines. Options for sights include standard "ball-in-the-bucket" plastic sights if you want to switch to your own sights, Glock night sights (GNS) or Glock-branded Ameriglo Bold sights. The frames are nicely styled, and the slides are silver with a silver nPVD finish. There are front cockpit sights, which are useful for room inspections - if you keep your digits away from the mouth.

Glock 43x How Many Magazines

Also, the magazine is reversed, a "beavertail" is built into the rear of the frame to reduce the chances of the slide biting, and the guns both feature Glock Marksman barrels.

Handgun Showdown: Glock 43x Mos Vs. Glock 19

I found that the Glock 48 weighed in at 17.6 ounces on my scale, with an empty mag in place. The Glock 43X is 16.8 ounces, with a similar mechanism. Trigger presses were weighed on a Wheeler Engineering Professional digital trigger: The Glock 48 averaged a 5-pound, 1.3-ounce pull; the average Glock 43X is 5 pounds, 2.8 ounces.

The Dark Star Gear Hitchhiker AIWB holster for the original Glock 43 also fits the G48. AIWB holders are often made longer than the guns they are made from to improve concealment. The 10-shot Slimlines disappear under light cover clothing.

I found guns to produce 2- to 3-inch groups from 25 yards while using a bench rest, applying a "best three out of five" group to measure to put from my human errors. I shoot ball and hollow point ammo from several manufacturers. I also met my friend and colleague - legendary attorney "Marshal" Chuck Haggard - at the range. He put a few boxes of ammunition in the guns and felt them too.

I shot a smaller-sized USPSA steel silhouette (about 14 inches high and 11 inches wide, without the 4-by-4-inch head box) from 50 yards. I loaded four rounds of Federal 115-grain FMJ ammo into the Glock 43X and placed three of the four in the steel plate body.

Fits For Glock 43x Mos Rmr Closed Mouth Cut Iwb Concealment

That first round that slipped off the left side of the plate did that because I pulled the trigger. Think about that: A barrel of less than 3½ inches, in a gun weighing less than 17 ounces empty, with a trigger press of just over 5 pounds—and I made shots at 50 yards.

Chuck pulled out his personal gun, a G43 that he often carries. Because of this, it is worn closely and becomes thin, sweaty and dirty. As a Glock gunsmith, he only takes the gun down to detail a few times a year for cleaning and inspection, and it still works. His holster is the Hitchhiker, an AIWB from Dark Star Gear (DSG). He let me borrow the rig for a test shoot with the guns. Apparently, the DSG holster is long enough that it looks like it was made specifically for the Glock 48, which is a useful configuration.

His gun is equipped with a Tau Development Group Striker Control Device (SCD), which is a replacement for the factory striker cover plate. Easily installed, it prevents the striker from being carried to the rear when you place your thumb behind the slide. This eliminates the worry of sticking again. If someone misses the trigger, you can feel pressure from the SCD. Stop and reverse course, but be aware that the striker will not return to the firing position until you relieve pressure on the SCD.

The shooting experience between the G43X and the new G 48 is almost identical. Shown here shooting the Glock 48, the author could not tell the difference (by feel) between the two new Slimline guns.

A Svelte 15rds: Shield Arms Magazine Catch And Magazines For Slim Glocks

Chuck installed it, and tested both samples dry and live fire. Striker Control Tool for G43 works on new guns. I shot several handling drills with each gun to see how they would fit in a suitable type of situation, and I can confidently report that both are up to the task with ease.

By firing more or less common exercises from several law enforcement certification courses, the results are easy within

Looking for beltless concealed carry options? These options below allow for more flexible clothing options and are also great for summer wear. One of the most important things to remember on your concealed carry trip is that it's good to have holster options. This makes dressing for concealed carry easier and less stressful. Many women feel they can't wear with their current wardrobe, but that doesn't have to be the case. There are a growing number of body holster options that can accommodate almost any wardrobe. It's important to keep an open mind and take the time to look at all your options.

Kydex holsters are probably the most popular holsters on the market, but they usually require a belt. They need something strong and sturdy to attach to that will hold them in place while they draw. As women, we don't always want to wear a belt - and some of our pants aren't always compatible with wearing a belt.

Black Active Bra Top Holster

Kydex holsters that offer a beltless option rely on certain types of buckles. Clips are the part of the holster that attaches concealed carry to the belt/pants. There are several different types of clips on the market. They can be made of metal or plastic. Clips are what can take regular Kydex holsters from needing a belt to no belt at all.

The two most popular types of clips that can make a Kydex holster beltless are UltiClip and Fabriclip.

One important thing to note is that even though these buckles work without a belt, you have to be careful what you clip them to. The foundation of your concealed carry bag plays an important role in enabling safe and consistent carry. When using the beltless buckle option, the texture of your pants plays a bigger role and should be given extra attention. The purpose of the belt is not only to hold the holster on the waist, but also to help keep it close to the body. The waistband helps prevent sagging, so if you choose to wear a garment in a thinner fabric, the waistband will take up the slack. Without a belt, you'll just be relying on the fabric and fit to prevent sagging. When using beltless buckles with pants that do not fit around the waist or the weight of the fabric is not strong enough, the firearm grip can tilt forward and away from your body. If you are going to use a beltless holster clip, you need to take some time to try it on with your wardrobe and make sure your pants can support the weight of the firearm and holster.

UltiClip is a steel clip that combines an external clip and an internal U-shaped clip that attaches to your clothes. Insert the belt between the U-shaped part and the back of the buckle, then press the outer clip to create a strong grip. The strong clip presses the inner clip against your clothing, and the small U-shaped hook is what catches your clothing when you draw your firearm.

Iwb Polymer Carry Holster For Glock 43 Glock 43x Pistol Holster For Men/ Women

The great thing about the Ulticlip is that you can attach your case to almost any bottom you wear. Replacing the standard clips on a Kydex holster with UltiClips can significantly reduce most of your overall setup. The retention on the UltiClip is so strong that as long as the bottom is tight, your holster will not move if you have to draw your weapon. UltiClip can give you more flexibility in your clothing choices; especially when you want to be a little more relaxed.

When you choose the UltiClip, you'll find that it takes up very little space on your belt, which not only helps reduce printing, but is much less noticeable than your standard holster clips. So you can tuck your shirt behind the button and keep it hidden. You can also wear a nice belt over the Ulticlip and the buckle is not visible.

Fabriclip is a robust plastic clip that can be attached to any number of fabrics. It works by locking a piece of fabric between the inner and outer layers of the buckle. As with UltiClip, Fabriclip works better with bottoms that sit more around the waist.

Glock 43x Holster Women's

Fabriclip takes up a lot of space on the belt which can make it difficult to conceal. It doesn't look like a traditional holster clip, though, so anyone who notices it won't automatically assume it's a holster—but it can draw eyes to your waist or any prints. Because of how Fabriclip adheres to fabrics, it works well with thinner fabrics such as leggings. Just remember that your bottom still has to support the weight of the firearm.

Glock 43 Holster 43x Iwb Kydex Fit: Glock 43 / 43x & Glock 43x Mos Pistol Holster

With Fabriclip, you can also tuck your shirt behind the buckle and also choose to wear a belt. However, the clip does not disappear behind the belt like the UltiClip because the clip surface is much larger.

When choosing between UltiClip and Fabriclip, neither is better or worse. It all depends on your personal preferences, your wardrobe and your daily activities during concealed carry. Because both of these clamps grip the fabric, you may notice some wear on the underside, especially when using delicate, less structured fabrics.

Another type of clip that deserves a mention is Discreet Carry Concept's holster clips. While not technically sold for concealed carry without a belt, they are similar to the UltiClip in that they are very strong metal clips, and if your pants are tight enough they can be used without a belt. One of the advantages of Discreet Carry Concepts clips is that they come in a variety of sizes and heights, so you have many options to adjust the carrying position to best suit your needs.

Since a typical women's wardrobe consists of pants, shorts and skirts with different styles of belts, this means that not everyone will have belt buckles. While you can choose to swap out your buckles on a standard Kydex holster, there are other holster options that specifically target the beltless option.

The PHLster Enigma is a new, innovative design; described as "Not a holster. Or a belt. Or a belly band. Or any other device you come across." Although the PHLster doesn't actually describe it that way, in its simplest and most easily described form, it's a belt-like holster that you wear around your midsection.

It has a fabric belt attached to a solid front panel. This front panel is what the Kydex holster attaches to. It also has a soft strap (known as a "leg strap") that is worn around the upper thigh to keep the liner in place if you have to draw your firearm. The whole setup is meant to be worn under your clothes.

Enigma offers great versatility in this type of belt holster. Because it's attached directly to your body, it doesn't require the use of buckles, and more importantly, it doesn't require your pants to be a certain weight or fabric. You can wear this holster with any style of pants, skirt or shorts.

The Can Can Concealment Hip Hugger Holster is a strong elastic band that goes around the waist. It has "pockets" for holsters and uses a hook and eye to fasten around the waist. It also has a pocket to carry an extra magazine or something else like a flashlight, pocket knife or even lipstick. The front holster position also uses strong magnets sewn between the fabric to hold the firearm in place. This case has non-slip silicone on the back to prevent slipping and shifting.

Top 5 Concealed Carry Holsters For Women

Something to keep in mind with these "soft cases" is that there is no hard trigger guard. Although the trigger is completely covered by a thick cloth, there is no hard piece of Kydex that acts as a trigger guard.

Since this holster is worn wrapped around the center section, you can adjust the placement. If you want to wear it higher on the waist or lower on the hips, you have that option because the hook and eye fasteners have different positions, so you can adjust how tight it is.

The Can Can Concealment Hip Hugger is great to wear with pants and skirts, especially if you work in a casual business environment. There's no bulky belt or weird buckles to be seen so you can wear a nice blouse tucked into your pants and still stay hidden.

If you prefer to wear a dress (depending on style), you can still use the Can Can Concealment Hip Hugger worn around the waist. Your current thought
